Privacy

This page explains what data Product.Zone collects, why, how long it is kept, and the rights you have. Product.Zone is a brand of MAKE A DIFFERENCE VENTURES B.V., a company based in the Netherlands. It handles your data under the AVG (the Dutch General Data Protection Regulation, the GDPR).

Who is responsible

The controller for your data is MAKE A DIFFERENCE VENTURES B.V., trading as Product.Zone, registered in the Netherlands (KvK 84021101, VAT NL863066100B01), address Kiefskamp 97, 1082 JZ Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

For any privacy question or request, write to hi@product.zone.

What we collect and why

We only collect what we need for the thing you asked for. There are four cases.

Free homepage read (the X-RAY). When you request a read, you give us a website URL and your email address. We use them to run the read and send it back to you. Lawful basis: performing a service you asked for (and our legitimate interest in following up once, if the read points to a next step).

Newsletter. When you subscribe, you give us your email address. We use it to send the newsletter. Lawful basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Booking a call. When you book, you give us your name, email, and the time you chose, plus anything you write in the booking notes. We use it to hold and prepare the call. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a possible agreement.

Paid services (First Move, Audit). When you buy, we and our payment provider process your name, email, billing details, and the record of the payment. We use it to deliver the service, take payment, and meet our accounting and tax duties. Lawful basis: performing our agreement with you, and a legal obligation for the tax records.

The tools we use to process data

We do not run these systems ourselves. We use a small set of established providers, each acting as a processor for us under a data processing agreement. All of them store and process this data in the EU or an EU region.

Brevo (EU): email delivery, the newsletter, and the X-RAY lead form.

Mollie (EU): payments for the paid services.

Cal.com (EU instance): call bookings.

Google Firebase (EU region): website hosting.

PostHog (EU Cloud): privacy-first, cookieless product analytics (no cookies, no session recording).

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

X-RAY requests: kept only as long as needed to deliver the read and any single follow-up, then removed. Target: 12 months.

Newsletter: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Bookings: kept for the period needed to run and follow up on the call, then removed. Target: 12 months.

Paid-service and payment records: kept for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records (in the Netherlands this is currently seven years), then removed.

Cookies

This site is built to run without tracking. It sets only essential cookies (the ones needed for the site to work and to keep it secure), and it uses privacy-first analytics that do not set cookies and do not build a profile of you.

Because there are no tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies, no cookie consent banner is needed under the GDPR and the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet. Essential cookies do not require consent.

If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will add a consent banner and ask you first, and this page will be updated before that happens.

Your rights

Under the AVG you can ask us to: see the data we hold about you (access); correct it (rectification); delete it (erasure); give you a copy in a portable form (portability); limit how we use it (restriction); and object to a specific use. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email hi@product.zone. We will respond within one month.

If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and change the date below.
